We offer several different types/lengths of warranty for our products. Which one applies to your product will be specified in the product description for the item. This does not affect your statutory rights and is in addition to the Sale of Goods Act where applicable.
Please note that our warranty terms varies depending on whether you are a ‘Consumer’ or a ‘Trade’ customer:
Our definition of a ‘Consumer’ customer: any individual or business who has placed an order via an automated checkout process from Just Laptops Ltd online via justlaptops.com, a Just Laptops ebay store, a Just Laptops Amazon store, or an individual who has ordered an item directly via email or telephone with personal billing/delivery information):
Our definition of a ‘Trade’ customer: any business who has ordered an item directly via email or telephone with business billing/delivery information.
Note: Warranty does not include accidental damage. Please note that warranty claims for items which have clearly been misused or abused (such as liquid ingress, physical damage etc.)
Below is an explanation of what warranty is included with your product and how we define this warranty. Applies to all Consumer customers unless stated otherwise.
None: Items advertised as Spares/Repair, Incomplete, Faulty, Untested
These products will be explicitly advertised as being defective/untested/faulty via description or invoice. Products under this criteria are sold as-is and cannot be returned unless they are found to be physically different to how they are advertised.
30-Day: Applicable to Consumable or Perishable items only, namely Batteries and Ink
3-Month: Applicable to all other Used Parts and Accessories
6-Month: Applicable to all Refurbished Laptops and Laptop Repairs
For Trade Customers this timeframe will be set to 3-Months unless explicitly stated on your invoice
12-Month: Applicable to any New Products
For Trade Customers this timeframe will be set to 3-Months unless explicitly stated on your invoice
Where a timeframe is stated, the warranty begins on the date of invoice. If an item develops a fault during the advertised warranty period which is not due to abuse/misuse or caused by another component then the item will be eligible for replacement. Just Laptops Ltd should be the first point of contact if a warranty claim is made. In some circumstances we may ask you to contact the manufacturer directly. If a replacement is not available then a refund will be offered subject to agreed return of the product.
Returns
If you are having trouble with a product that you bought from us or you have purchased in error then we will be quite happy to accept return for repair/replacement/refund (depending on how the product was advertised and when it was sold) subject to confirming a few details with you.
In order for us to accept return of an item, you MUST contact us prior to sending the item to us – All returns must be booked in to our returns system which we will do for you and advise you a RETURNS NUMBER (RMA CODE) to use on the packaging of the returned item.
RETURNS WHICH ARE NOT CLEARLY MARKED WITH A RETURNS (RMA) CODE may INCUR DELAYS or even be REJECTED.
If your order was placed via the Amazon or Ebay sales channels then please login to your account and email us directly via Amazon/Ebay so that we will automatically have access to your order details.
If you ordered from our website or directly then please email us using the contact form from the navigation on the side of this page, and remember to include your order codes so that we can bring up your order and promptly get back to you without delay.
If we offer or agree to replace an item and offer a carriage paid returns method, we will require that the item being replaced be returned by the method offered in a timely manner, typically within the time period stated via email.
We reserve the right to invoice you for the cost of the replacement item and the postal service used to deliver it for any item returned after this period without prior agreement.
Please note that all returns will be tested.
We reserve the right not to replace or refund in full items that are returned to us that are not faulty as expected.
If said items returned are found not to be in a resalable condition comparable to that in which they were sold, refunds issued will be subject to a restocking fee of typically 20% off original item sale price.
