We have dedicated hardware designed specifically for destroying all hard drive data which remains on your systems, meeting strict government standards.

Wherever possible we aim to reduce our impact on the environment through implementing measures above and beyond our legal obligations.
What is WEEE?
WEEE “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment”
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (2006 No. 3289) (WEEE) is a new UK legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The regulations have been put in place to ensure that products are recycled using best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection
Both Just Laptops Ltd. and our customers can assist in recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment
We cannot recycle it unless you return it, so our customers have an important role to play in helping us to recycle
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Just Laptops Ltd. will undertake their responsibility as a Distributor to dispose of these goods in line with European legislation
How do I know if my product is covered?
If the symbol shown here is found on any of your goods, it means that the product is covered by the WEEE Regulations
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.

How does WEEE apply to my purchase with Just Laptops Ltd.
It means that you can return waste electrical equipment to Just Laptops Ltd. when you are purchasing a new product from us under our distributer obligations*
How do I recycle my old products?
When you have finished with a WEEE product, please do not put in your domestic waste bin, as it will not be recycled

Please quote your ORDER ID or Invoice Number and describe the item that is to be recycled inside the packaging.
Please carefully package any item for collection in advance to avoid transit damage

*It has to be like for like (e.g. a laptop for a laptop, not a TV for a laptop).
Alongside these directives that Just Laptops Ltd. are legally obliged to comply to, we have developed our own environmentally friendly systems throughout the company, such as using recycled packaging supplies.
